BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Sending a text message from a computer to a mobile phone gives friends, family and colleagues another way to stay in touch. Vtext delivers a short message (160 characters or less) from a computer to a mobile phone. To send a message to a Verizon Wireless phone from a personal computer, enter the person’s mobile number followed by @vtext.com in the “to” field of your e-mail message – for example, 5551234567@vtext.com.
