Friends & Family For Business Helps Companies Control Wireless Spending
Verizon Wireless Business Customers Gain Flexibility to Customize their Calling Plan for an Effective Cost Savings Solution
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — In today’s business world, companies rely on their wireless service to keep operations running smoothly. That’s why Verizon Wireless is introducing Friends & Family® for Business on March 15 to give businesses even greater control over their wireless spending. Friends & Family for Business lets companies create a calling group made up of up to 10 numbers employees call most. The minutes used when placing or receiving calls from anyone in the calling group are considered Mobile to Mobile calls and do not count against the business’ plan minutes. Businesses can include the landline or wireless numbers of colleagues, clients and vendors who have yet to switch to the nation’s largest, most reliable network, and they can add or remove any of the numbers as frequently as needed.
“Business customers can help their bottom line with Friends & Family for Business,” said Rob Miller, vice president of marketing for Verizon Wireless. “The feature gives businesses the flexibility to create their own calling plan. If a project is complete and there is no longer a need to call a certain vendor, they can simply remove that vendor’s name from the Friends & Family group and add a new contact – even if the number is to a landline or a person using another wireless carrier.”
Businesses with Nationwide for Business Single-Line plans with 900 or more Anytime Minutes or Nationwide for Business Single-Line with Share option plans with 450 Anytime Minutes or more are eligible to add up to 10 numbers to their business account’s Friends & Family for Business. All Nationwide for Business plans include Unlimited Night & Weekend minutes, no domestic roaming or long distance charges, access to Mobile Web and unlimited national Mobile to Mobile calling with more than 80 million other Verizon Wireless customers.
Account administrators of a business’ wireless plan can go online to My Business or Verizon Enterprise Center to manage their Friends & Family directories. When a business adds or replaces Friends & Family numbers on My Business or Verizon Enterprise Center, the new numbers go into effect the following day.
Beginning March 15, Friends & Family for Business will be automatically available on My Business or Verizon Enterprise Center for new business customers or customers who switch to a qualified plan. Account administrators for businesses with existing qualified plans will receive an e-mail when this service has been added to their account.
Nationwide for Business Single-Line plans with the Friends & Family feature are available starting at $59.99 monthly access for 900 Anytime Minutes, and Nationwide for Business Single-Line with Share option plans start at $44.99 monthly access with 450 Anytime Minutes.
