Testing the Verizon Wireless network from coast to coast, the company’s team of test men and test women drove more than 1 million miles in 2011 to monitor its network and its competitors’ networks to stay ahead of customer demand.

Verizon Wireless test men and test women, the largest team of systems performance engineers deployed by a U.S. wireless service company, took to the nation’s roads using sophisticated testing equipment in specially designed company vehicles. Throughout 2011, they conducted more than 3 million voice call attempts and more than 12 million data tests on the Verizon Wireless network and the networks of major competitors across the United States.
